Watch Forward Unto Dawn

Greetings 616!!!

With Halo 4 coming out Nov, 6th, Microsoft has poured money into creating this live action series to help both promote it’s upcoming release and help new fans of the game understand the story more before getting into the game. As a fan I am quite happy with it and appreciate that they put this much effort into something that gave me further knowledge about the universe that I would have never knew or tried to look up till now. The whole thing is connected to Halo 4 and gives you a perspective on the situation from a human point of view since it affects them most.

If any out there had said that Halo is a mere simple shooter, this right here is proof that they were passing judgement on a game they knew little to nothing about. Just from watching the first episode I went out to go find out it’s connection to the whole series which led me on a wild search for knowledge which gave me a greater understanding of the series as a whole and even filled in more gaps that could have been created in Halo 4 for me.

It’s just another reason Halo 4 is not what most should expect it to be. This is not just going the simple route of shooting like the previous games. Halo 4 is about mystery and exploration, everything you knew about the series, extended universe, and questions posed throughout are all coming full circle here and that’s what is supposed to make this game exciting.

What is Forward Unto Dawn?

Set against the backdrop of a UNSC military academy, a group of highborn cadets are training to be the next generation of soldiers in the UNSC’s ongoing war with insurrectionists in the outer colonial planets. Among these cadets, Thomas Lasky struggles with his doubts about this war, and with the burden of expectations he may not be able to carry. As Lasky comes to terms with his potential as a military leader, the terrifying alien alliance known as the Covenant arrives and turns his world upside down. Inspired by the Master Chief, he must decide what it means to be a hero.

There will be 5 episodes overall and a new one each week.
